Hani doesn't lean on a single guess. It starts with the surest signal, steps down only when that fails, and says on screen which step it matched on. “This product” and “Probably this product” are different sentences.
The EAN under the box, or the barcode on the shelf label if you're in a store. Once it's read there's nothing to argue about: the product is certain and the price list is complete.

Our ranking isn't for sale.
On many comparison sites “cheapest” means cheapest among those who paid. On Hani the organic order depends on three things only: price, seller trust and stock. The rule is tested in our code; if a revenue field ever reaches the ranking, the change can't ship.
What a sponsored listing can do
- Take a single slot in the list: directly below rank 1.
- Appear in amber with a “Sponsored” label. It never hides that it's an ad.
What it can't do
- Push the rank 1 seller down or sit above it.
- Change its own position in the organic list.
- Multiply: there's at most one per list.
Affiliate deals don't touch the order either. They only decide which link “Go to seller” opens; sellers with and without a programme are ranked by the same rules.

The list comes from our index and the top results are checked on the seller's page. When you tap “Go to seller” we verify the price right then; if it changed, we tell you before sending you on.

Not in our catalogue? We look across the web. We ask first.
If the barcode or model number doesn't match, Hani can search the whole web: Google Lens and Google Shopping, via SerpApi. That means your photo has to go to Google, so on your first scan we ask you once, plainly.

The lowest price on the web often comes from a store we don't know. If we can't verify that price live on the seller's page we don't show it; if we can, it carries an “Unknown store” label.
Search the web too?
To find the lowest price across the web, when a product can't be recognised a version of your photo cropped to the product is sent to Google (via SerpApi). Photos are never sent for products recognised by barcode or model number.
Consent is optional: without it Hani keeps working with barcodes, model numbers and its catalogue.

The iPhone and Android apps read the barcode and label text before the photo even leaves your phone, and pick the sharpest frame from a quick burst. In a store, get the shelf label in the frame too: the product name and barcode often come from there.

Questions people ask
How does Hani make money?
Three ways. We have affiliate deals with some stores: if you buy there, the store pays us a commission. A list may carry one clearly labelled sponsored listing. And there's Premium. None of the three can touch the organic ranking.
Is my photo stored?
For scans made on the web, your photo is processed for that scan only and isn't stored. If the product can't be recognised by barcode or model number and you've given consent, a version cropped to the product is sent to Google (via SerpApi) to search the web; you can withdraw that consent from your account page at any time. The result page stays shareable for 24 hours.
Which stores do you check?
Stores and marketplaces in Türkiye, led by Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon.com.tr, n11, Teknosa, Vatan Bilgisayar and MediaMarkt. Every marketplace seller is its own row: if three sellers offer the same product on Trendyol, you see three prices. With your consent we also search the rest of the web.
Why isn't the lowest price at the top?
Because seller trust is part of the ranking. A low-rated seller stays in the list but drops behind trustworthy sellers with a “Low-rated seller” label. For the Sony WH-1000XM5, a seller rated 2.1 asks ₺10,234; the “Cheapest” badge goes to a 4.8-rated seller at ₺11,183. Refurbished and shipped-from-abroad listings are left out of the comparison too, and we say how many above the list.

How fresh are the prices?
Prices are collected continuously in the background, and the top results are checked again on the seller's page. Every row says when its price was last verified. When you tap “Go to seller”, we verify it once more, right then.
What if you can't recognise the product?
We never present a wrong product as certain. If it's not in our catalogue we search the web (with your consent); if we're still unsure we offer a few candidates or ask you to photograph the barcode or model label.
Do I need an account?
No. You can scan and compare without one; Hani uses an anonymous ID tied to this browser. Sign in with Apple or Google and your price alerts and Premium membership follow you across devices. You can delete your account and data at any time.
